| Challenge: | Sponsor needed to complete or abandon a lagging study because drug expiration date was five months away. | ||||||
| Strategies: | (Pi) PATIENT INTERACTION® developed a comprehensive, fast-paced recruitment effort that included Web, advocacy, print, radio and Site Optimization. | ||||||
| Results: | Recruited 350 patients who were randomized in three months. | ||||||

| Challenge: | Recruitment was falling behind quickly for several studies that offered an alternative treatment for incontinent women because no central recruitment effort existed. | ||||||
| Strategies: | (Pi) PATIENT INTERACTION® developed a campaign to create awareness about the issue, opening a dialogue about the topic and the studies to support it. Media used included TV, print, Web, advocacy, Site Optimization and PR. | ||||||
| Results: | Enrolled 230 patients in two studies in approximately four months. | ||||||
| Psoriasis Phase 3 | |||||||
| Challenge: | A top-5 patient recruitment company was falling behind on a recruitment deadline and needed assistance. | ||||||
| Strategies: | (Pi) PATIENT INTERACTION® developed a unique, tactical campaign with proprietary tools designed to quickly generate results. (Pi)’s efforts extended into new areas not yet targeted. | ||||||
| Results: | Assisted in enrolling and randomizing the remaining 360 patients needed to complete the study, and did so five weeks ahead of the scheduled enrollment end date. | ||||||

| Challenge: | Client’s past recruitment efforts had failed miserably. | ||||||
| Strategies: | (Pi) PATIENT INTERACTION® developed an educational campaign that specifically targeted PD patients and caregivers, utilizing TV, PR, news, Web and Site Optimization. | ||||||
| Results: | Helped recruit and randomize 177 patients in the remaining four months of enrollment period. | ||||||
| Genital Herpes Phase 3 (Rescue) | |||||||
| Challenge: | Recruitment efforts already undertaken with a recruitment group were slowing down considerably. | ||||||
| Strategies: | (Pi) PATIENT INTERACTION® developed an adjuvant campaign to complement existing program, tapping areas not yet touched by current recruitment company. This was accomplished through TV, news, PR, Web and outreach. | ||||||
| Results: | Assisted in the recruitment of an additional 800 patients; 400 per study, 10-30 per site needed to complete all studies for this compound. | ||||||
